Amy Martin

Amy Martin graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 1996. She taught preschool for one year before moving to Ohio to earn her teaching certificate in Elementary Education. Soon after, Amy obtained her Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from NOVA Southeastern University. Amy taught 12 years for Dublin City Schools in Dublin, Ohio. While she loved her job and working with children, she began to see the downfall of the system and the ‘one size fits all’ approach to educating children. The downfall of this approach hit close to home when her son began kindergarten. It didn’t take long to realize her family needed to transition away from traditional schooling for their children. It wasn’t until learning about NACD from her neighbor, did she find the educational fit for both her son and daughter. NACD’s educational approach has benefited Amy’s entire family. The program expands its focus beyond the child and approaches the family as a whole. Amy is very much looking forward to working with and supporting families on their NACD journey.
